Squirrel Removal
and Squirrel Trapping Gray, Red, and Flying squirrels are fun to watch
but are also a big problem in the area. They are very destructive,
forceful, and strong willed. In a matter of minutes they can chew
through almost anything but are more often opportunistic. You may
experience squirrels tearing up the yard and garden looking for
acorns, raiding bird feeders, chewing on your home and breaking into
the attic to nest.
Because of their destructive tendencies, we will responsibly
relocate nuisance squirrels, while paying attention not to
orphan any young, and make repairs and/or perform exclusion to
vulnerable areas.
Gray Squirrels
gray squirrels have two litters per year spring and fall. After a
6-week pregnancy, the mother will give birth to 2-5 small 1” furless
babies with sealed eyes. After 6 weeks, the babies will be following
mom around. This is a perfect time to catch them if there was no
previous access to them. After 4 weeks is when the most noise and
damage will occur as the young are not ready to leave but able to
chew. They remain in the attic and frolic around until agile enough
to follow the mother.
Red Squirrels
Red squirrels are smaller than gray squirrels. There fur is reddish
with white bellies. They love black walnuts and pine cones. They
will enter your house from any level and usually work they're way
to the attic. Red squirrels are active day and night.
Flying Squirrels Flying squirrels are small nocturnal mammals about the size of a
chipmunk they are light brown but often appear gray. They are
commonly mistaken for baby gray squirrels. There tales are flat and
they have the biggest adorable black eyes you will ever see on an
animal. They are extremely unique in that skin on there side
attaches the front feet to the back feet thus allowing the animal to
glide. Removing trees close to the home is useless as these animals
can glide for quite a distance.
